EPL update

This year's EPL definitely has to be one of the tightly-contested affair yet. Chelsea & Liverpool (suprisingly!) lead the pack, with Man U slowly catching on. Arsenal has faltered early in this season and are found on 4th place, level with Aston Villa. Rookie team, Hull City not far away. Whats interesting this year (which has forced me to write this blog entry in the first place), is that the point difference between 12th and 20th is mere 3 points! One could easily jump from bottom to 12th just by winning a single game!

i definitely go for a Liverpool win for the title this year (since i am a Liverpool fan). Chelsea n Man U will be thereabout. With ever growing problems with youth team plus inexperince and lacking of senior players, arsenal possibly will fall out of top 4 this year, thats what i reckon. Aston Villa i think will just beat them to the 4th spot. Agbonlahor in attack, Ashley young with soo many accurate crosses with Barry marshalling the midfield, i dont think why they cannot be successfull.

just below them, i think wud be Man City, Hull City and Everton. YES! Man City.
they will definitely get super-star reinforcement soon in January and will end up somewhere in top-middle. while the bottom, its definitely hard to guessw considering the volatile conditions of the league right now. every team has equal chance of surviving i guess.

Btw, this is the current league standing:

Chelsea1332
Liverpool1332
Man Utd1224
Arsenal1323
Aston Villa1323
Hull1321
Everton1319
Middlesbrough1318
Portsmouth1318

PMCFC Glorified Tactical Formation 2008

this is more or less the tactics that we utilise.. atleast from my point of view anyway...
(Jere or mujed, if salah, tegur aku ah..haha)

we hav the best keeper, most competent defenders, most combative midfielders, best playmaker and prolific strikers on 1st team..

our work ethics are second to none, n this very factor has propelled us to 2nd place overall..

CONGRATS AGAIN!!

PMCFC 2 TAR College 0 - SEMI-FINAL

PMC FC 2 TAR College 0

MONDAY, 3rd NOV -
PMC FC defeated TAR College 2-0 in the 2nd SEMI-FINAL of the day.
An own goal from TAR and another goal from our inspirational playmaker, Jere
guarantees PMCFC a place in the FINAL. In another SEMI-FINAL, KDU College
beat host, Han Chiang College by a single goal. The final will take place at Han Chiang College,
tomorrow (Tue, 4th Nov) at 6pm.

PMC FC started brightly through out top striker, Kudut, creating menace in TAR's penalty box.
with his few on-target shots. His strike partner, Zaim, also played his part, by making clever running into free spaces between TAR's defence. With playmaker, Jere dictating PMC's every move, supported by dribbler, Fazrin, and protected by the two tough tackling defensive midfielders, Mike Wong and Kurt, PMC looked comfortable on the ball and hold much of the possession in the first half. the first half ended 0-0.

in the 2nd half, both team looked well-balanced, and the game seemed to head into extra time. Fortunately, in the middle of the 2nd half, TAR conceded a goal after their goalkeeper created the worst blunder ever by punching the ball into his own net, from an apparently harmless free-kick. 1-0 to PMC!

PMC defended mightily in the remaining 2nd half and at the dying minutes, a long ball from the centre of the field found Jere in edge of TAR's penanlty box, and he coolly lobbed the ball into the opponent's net. Match ended 2-0 to PMC.

what a game!

PMC FC 3 SEGI College 1

PMCFC 3 SEGI 1

sunday, 2nd Nov, 6pm
- PMC FC won 3 -1 against SEGI College this evening, enroute to qualifying to semi-final. Jere', Kurt and Kudut were on target today, ensuring smooth sailing to the next round, setting up a mouth-watering clash between PMCFC and TAR College in the semi-final. PMCFC took the lead early in the first half through our playmaker, Jere, with a well executed finish inside the penalty box. SEGI then equalized from a free-kick, which caused chaos inside PMCFC's penalty box after the ball hit the post and rebounded on one of the their player into our net.

However, Kurt managed to make it 2-1 after his left footed shot managed to go thru the crowded penalty box and into the net. Our top striker, Kudut capped an amazing day for PMC with a third goal, firing a rocket shot from the edge of SEGI's box. the match ended deservedly to PMCFC 3-1.
